I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English Education from Georgia Southern College in 1990. Three years later in 1993, I earned a Master's Degree in English Education from Georgia Southern University. Ten years later in 2003, I earned an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Administration from Nova Southeastern University. I also have earned gifted certification.

This year begins my 28h year of teaching! I worked at Brantely County High School for 13 years before moving over to Pierce County Middle School where I taught 8th grade lanugauge arts for 1 year. After the year at the middle school, I transferred to Pierce County High School where I have taught 10th grade language arts for the last 13 years. I also served as yearbook advisor for nine years. In addition, I have taught part time at Waycross College and currently teach English 1101 and 1102 through Coastal Pines Technical College's  Move On When Ready program.

I have been married to my husband, Chad, for over 20 years. We have 2 children,                             Morgan and Chase.
