Pretest: Aug. 1-12                                             Common Assessment 3: Feb. 27-Mar. 3

Common Assessment 1: Sept. 26-30                   Posttest: May 8-9

Common Assessment 2: Nov. 30-Dec. 9             Finals: May 18-19

Midterm: Dec. 15-16

 

REQUIRED MATERIALS:

  • 1-1 ½ inch notebook
  • Wide or college ruled paper
  • Headphones/ear buds 
  • Blue or black ink pens
  • Pencils
  • Dividers

 

 

CLASSROOM RULES

1.       Follow all of the rules and procedures in the Pierce County High School student handbook.

2.       Treat others with respect.

3.       Demonstrate pride in your work.

4.       Maintain a positive attitude. 

 

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

Ø  No food or drink (except bottled water) allowed in class.

Ø  Students may NOT use outlets in the classroom for charging their phones.

Ø  Students may NOT use the refrigerator or microwave located in the office.

Ø  Students MUST have a signed agenda pass to leave class.

 

MAKE-UP WORK:

It is your responsibility to make up work when you are absent. You have 3 school days to make up work.

1st Semester

70 % of course                      

 

10 % Final

20 % EOCT

 

COURSE GRADING POLICY FOR BREAKDOWN OF CLASS WORK:

Tests/Major Assignments:   50%

Daily Assignments:             20%

Quizzes:                              30%                                                                                                   

 

EXAM EXEMPTIONS:  In order to exempt the final, students must:

  • Have an average of 70 or above                                                                                                 
  • Miss no more than 2 days per semester
  • Pass the Georgia Milestones EOC
